CFPB Proposes Delay on TRID

On June 19, 2015 the CFPB announced that it will delay the RESPA/TILA Integreation or TRID until Oct 3, 2015.   “.. NAR has long advocated the need to avoid implementing the new regulation during the peak summer selling season.  NAR welcomes the CFPB’s proposed extension from AUG 1 to OCTOBER 3, 2015, as well as the earlier ‘sensitivity’ they offered to companies making a good-faith effort to comply with the new TRID regulation.  We will continue to work with CFPB to minimize any possible market disruptions or uncertainty that could develop following the implementation.
REALTORS® appreciate that the CFPB has demonstratated an understanding of the need for additional time to accommodate the interests of the many consumers and providers”

Watch for upcoming TBOR classes & education later this Summer regarding RESPA.

ITP – AKA Integrated Transportation Plan
“With the Jackson/Teton County Integrated Transportation Plan (ITP), the community plans to meet future transporation demand through the use of alternative modes.  The first step in realizing this goal is the development of a community wide integrated transp;oration plan.” – Teton County Website

Housing Summit
“Comprehensive Plan; the Housing Action Plan is to be a cooperative effort of the Town, County, local housing agencies and organizations, and other workforce housing stakeholders in the community. Its purpose is to evaluate the costs and benefits of various housing tools, establish a system for monitoring the success of those tools in meeting our housing goal, and establish the roles that various entities, including the free market, will play in meeting the housing goal of the community.” – Teton County Website

“The report looks at dangers from 5 different points of view: agents, brokers, associations, MLSs, and NAR itself.  You’ll notice that it does not offer solutions in this report.  This report is a mirror.  When the mirror is held up, we see how disruptions affecting brand, reputation, regulation, data, technology and competition could redefine our business.  And they will, whether we like it or not.”  Chris Polychron, NAR 2015 President.
